Study Abroad Fair – 11 November 2009

Avon Room, University Centre, 2pm - 5pm

The aim of the Study Abroad Fair at Birmingham is to provide information on the opportunities available to University of Birmingham students for their year abroad, whether this is an optional or compulsory part of their degree programme.

All University of Birmingham exchange partners are invited to participate at the event to talk to our students about the options available to them at their particular institution. Other relevant organisations are also invited such as Endsleigh Insurance, STA Travel, the Erasmus Society and Student Jet Packs.

In addition, returning students and incoming students from a range of institutions and countries will be available to answer all of your questions regarding a year abroad from their own personal experience.

You will be able to ask them all of the things you really want to know, from how to find accommodation and what is the best way to make local friends, to how difficult it is to adapt to a new culture or studying in a foreign language.

The exchanges fair is a great opportunity to find out about your year abroad whether this is an optional or compulsory part of your course so we would strongly encourage all students planning to study abroad to attend this excellent event.
